Purchasing an order
We have found that talking to a live person to give your credit
card information to, is a lot safer than using a credit card purchase
over the internet. Instead, complete your order or price
request. Then when you are ready to purchase, call
our toll-free number at (1-866-700-5877 for purchase only [ U.S. only]),
and we will take your credit card and shipping information over
the telephone. We will confirm exactly what you are ordering,
the total price (including shipping charges), and when your order
will be shipped. If you need technical help or have
questions, etc. call 1-801-435-673-0724 or e-mail
us.
We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, and American Express for phone orders. U.S. Postal Money Order, PayPal or Western Union is also accepted for payment. We use address verification for credit card purchasing. Any information that you provide, is strictly confidential and is not given to anyone! (Except, of course your name and address, for shipping). We have been in business since the spring of 1978. Our Dun & Bradstreet number is: 09-881-0765 STA, if you would like to check us out.
We furnish the listed name brand parts when possible. However, RPM reserves the right to substitute equal or better parts from the same or different manufacturer, where listed parts are unavailable, or at the discretion of RPM. Performance will be equal to or better than use of the listed part. If a particular brand is requested for a particular part, then we will not ship a different brand.
Orders or sales made in Utah, or shipped to a Utah address, are subject to 6.6% sales tax, unless customer has a valid tax exemption certificate on file at our office at the time of shipment.
The Next Step
Prepayment by cashiers check, U.S. Postal money order,
Western Union, or paypal.com is accepted. For convenience,
Visa, Master Card, Discover Card, and American Express
are accepted for orders by phone. We require 100% payment in full
before shipment can be made. The payment can be made by business
check (U.S. only), providing the payment is received three weeks
before the order is shipped. Phone orders that are purchased by
a credit card, are shipped, in most cases, the same day.
When You Get Your Order
Inspect the container and contents closely, saving all the original
packaging. If you detect damage to your shipment, make
a written note of the damage with the delivery person, because
their company is responsible for those damages. If necessary,
contact RPM for further instructions on making a claim.
If the order is short or defective, contact RPM for assistance and we will make every reasonable effort to correct the problem. The sooner we know about it, the better service we can give to have it corrected.
If you decide to refuse the shipment, the freight portion of the invoice is still your responsibility to pay, both ways.
Returns
We do not accept cores for credit on
crankshafts or connecting rods or cylinder heads or anything else.
No returns on orders $50.00 or less. No returns on connecting
rods. We do not give credit or refund for any freight charges
for any type of return.
No returns on opened gasket sets or parts that have been installed
including short blocks or crankshafts.
Before making any returns, call RPM for instructions. Any
returns must have the original invoice number from RPM and if
drop shipped, my warehouses invoice number also has to be with
the shipment. Items are much easier to exchange, etc. if a copy
of the receipt and the factory packaging is included. Custom or
special ordered parts are generally non-returnable. All other
returns for any refund are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee,
plus any shipping charges including to re-box a shipment, both
ways, and if drop shipped from one of my suppliers, plus
shipping and re-boxing the shipment, back to them. RPM
will help in every way possible to process defective returns,
but the ultimate responsibility lies with the manufacturer.
We will not accept any returns that have been installed, making
them a used part, or dirty packaging with finger prints all over
it or oil all over the box. Returns can not
be accepted after 30 days from purchase date. If I do accept a return
after 30 days then other charges will apply, usually another 10%
totaling 30% off the original purchase price for credit to your
card. Absolutely no returns for any reason after 60 days. But
returns are generally not accepted after 30 days from the purchase
date.
Crankshafts must be checked for journal size, snout length,
number bolt holes at the flange on the back of the crankshaft,
etc. to make sure they match your old crankshaft. If the crankshaft
is installed and is the wrong crankshaft, then it can not be returned
for any reason.
International Returns & Orders RPM will not be responsible for any parts after
you have received a Proof of Delivery from the Bongo Warehouse.
Any international return would need to be coordinated through
Customer Service at Bongo International.

by RPM and shipped to the Bongo warehouse. Customers will be responsible

shipping to you. Shipping outside the U.S., Bongo's price includes
a full door-to-door transportation cost, however, there may be
additional duties and taxes charged by customs in your country.
Please contact Bongo directly if you have any additional questions
about this process.
Warranty is not offered by RPM on any
parts. Any warranties are the responsibility
of the manufacturer. It is up to the installing mechanic to make
sure all parts fit properly to make sure they are the correct
parts and/or installed properly. If a part is installed and is
the wrong part or does not fit properly there is nothing we can
do to help you other than give you the warehouse or manufacturer's
number for you to get in touch with them yourself. We do not warranty
any engine, cylinder head, crankshaft kit, short block or any
other parts. If the manufacturer does accept your warranty claim
then it is up to them how it is handled. If for some reason they
accept your return and issue RPM credit then RPM will issue credit
back to your credit card only after they have given RPM credit
for a return. We do not give credit or refund for any freight
charges. We will not be responsible for any labor charges.
Crankshaft kits: if installed there is not warranty of any
kind, either from RPM or the manufacturer. It is up to the installer
to make sure all clearances are correct and all other things like
brushing out the oil galleys in the block is done properly and
all debris in the engine is cleaned including the oil pump pickup
and oil pan.
