INSTRUCTIONS
1. All top compression rings require file fitting to acheive correct
end gap.
Use Manley tool P/N 41833. After grinding, stone all edges at
each gap.

2. Install all compression rings with the marked side up. Top
rings will be bevel up.
Reverse twist second rings will be bevel down.
3. Be certain not to overlap the ends of the oil ring expander.
The end gap of the oil ring rails may be from .035" to .080".
As indicated above, certain ring part numbers are packaged with
two sets of oil ring expanders. The ultra low and low
tension expander is recommended for dry sump oil systems only,
while the standard tension expander can be used in either
wet or dry sump applications.
