FHR FORGED PISTONS
FORMED HEAD RELIEF - 4032 Alloy
|
FHR series “Off the Shelf” pistons loaded with premium
features found in custom made pistons. FHR – Formed Head Relief pistons have valve reliefs that are formed in as the piston blank is pressed into the die. Many of the domed models are solid which allows tailoring the dome height for a specific compression ratio. Check the dome type box for specific dome description. 4032 Alloy material has 11% silicon content which controls the thermal expansion so a tighter piston to wall clearance may be used over the 2618 alloy. The additional silicon will also increase wearability on the skirts and pin bores making this an ideal material for street and light boosted applications. |
